In celebration of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Calgary Jewish Federation, Calgary JCC, and Inclusion Innovations and Calgary Interfaith Council ,are collaborating to host, From Longing to Belonging. The purpose of this presentation is to foster inclusion, increase awareness and acceptance of people with disabilities, and nurture an inclusive mindset. This event will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2019, 2:00 pm at Calgary JCC: 1607 90 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T2V 4V7. This event will feature Shelly Christensen of Inclusion Innovations https://inclusioninnovations.com; inclusion expert, author, and motivational speaker. Christensen raises belonging and inclusion to a place of possibilities and actions. Based on her book From Longing to Belonging: A Practical Guide for People with Disabilities and Mental Health Conditions in Your Faith Based Community, Christensen will give a dynamic and educational presentation on incorporating best practices and guidelines for inclusion in faith-based communities followed by Q&A. Following Shelley’s presentation, guests will enjoy light refreshments and a meet and greet with Christensen
