Presented by Marty Hornstein, Executive Director of Jewish Family Service Calgary.

His talk will focus on the identification of and accommodations for people with Learning Disabilities (LD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). “Many people who are economically challenged, suffering from mental health issues or generally are not as successful as others tend to have ADHD or Learning Disabilities that were undiagnosed or diagnosed later in their lives” says Hornstein.  He adds that “the focus for these invisible disabilities would be on early diagnosis, intervention and accommodation”.

This talk will appeal to those children who are struggling with learning and their parents, adults with a history of under employment and/unemployment, professionals in the fields of education, social work and crime prevention.
