Yom HaZikaron 5784

Yom Hazikaron, also known as Israel's Memorial Day for Fallen Soldiers and Victims of Terrorism, is a solemn day of remembrance observed annually in Israel. It honors the memory of all Israeli soldiers who have lost their lives in the line of duty, as well as victims of terrorism.

The day is marked by ceremonies held throughout the country, including memorial services at military cemeteries, moments of silence, and commemorative events. Flags are lowered to half-mast, and a siren is sounded nationwide, bringing the entire country to a standstill as people pause to reflect and honor the fallen. Yom Hazikaron is a solemn occasion for Israelis to honor and remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the security and well-being of Israel.
