Calgary Holocaust Survivor Photography Exhibit

Calgary Jewish Federation invites our community's Holocaust Survivors and their loved ones to be part of our newest initiative honouring Survivors, Calgary Holocaust Survivor Photography ExhibitBoth living Survivors and those who have passed, will be featured in this unique exhibit that our community can share for many generations. Community Chaplain Hospital Visits

Alberta Health Services is now allowing clergy members to visit patients in the hospitals. You can receive visits from Community Chaplain Sari Shernofsky (403-830-5920) and/or your rabbi. Visits must be initiated by the patient or a family member. The hospital unit managers will contact the requested individual and arrange the visit.

Chabad has launched a Field & Playground Project to help children's programs during COVID-19. Matching Grant: $1.00 = $2.50!

To help the many families struggling to pay for their children's camp fees in these economically challenging times, Leonard and Faigel Shapiro are graciously matching all donations dollar-for-dollar up to $15,000. On top of that, Connect First Credit Union is matching 50% of all donations to a maximum of $500 per individual donation. You donate $20, the Shapiro's match it with $20, Connect First matches it with $10. Take a look at our Corona Relief websitegiving the community easy access to all you need. Our new site is set up to service everyone, whether you are looking for emotional support, practical help, Kosher food, care packages, inspiration, counselling, or more! You can see upcoming classes and events for all ages, as well as check out recordings of past ones. It is a place for the community to lend a hand to one another by signing up as a volunteer, giving a donation, or simply referring a friend, front line worker or anyone else in need of support. The Faigel Shapiro Kosher Pantry

Ready, delicious, kosher food and challah is available for order! Kids at home keeping your hands full? Elderly and don't want to go out? Busy with work from home? In our efforts of assisting all who need, Chabad has Kosher food available (delivery available too)! All proceeds will go towards the Faigel Shapiro Kosher Pantry outreach program. Na'amat is currently holding our annual fundraiser in lieu of a phone-a-thon. The need, as always, is great. The Shawl-Om Project is an initiative by Jewish community members to create hand-crafted lap blankets and shawls to distribute to community members who would appreciate such a gift. Because of COVID-19, the project's launch has been delayed, but anyone interested in creating such a loving gift can get started now!
